SUSITNA PLACE is in a quiet, downtown Anchorage location, on a bluff that overlooks Cook Inlet. The heart of Alaska’s largest city -- shops, restaurants and the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail -- is a short, 10- to 15-minute walk from the bed and breakfast.
Decks and huge windows provide water and mountain views from both levels of the B&B, named for Mount Susitna. Six rooms -- a master suite, junior suite, three standard rooms with private bath, one room with a shared bath -- accommodate virtually any budget. Summer rates start at $130, plus 12 percent tax. Lower rates before Memorial Day and after Labor Day weekends.
Monica, Steve and two small, friendly, hypoallergenic dogs are your hosts and look forward to your visit.
