FEW LODGING OPTIONS in Anchorage match Susitna Place for convenience.
Shops, dozens of restaurants, and the popular Tony Knowles Coastal Trail are as little as three blocks from the front door. The city center is an easy, safe walk of 10 minutes.
The Alaska Railroad depot is one mile away. Anchorage Ted Stevens International Airport is less than 5 miles. Taxis are plentiful, and buses run to and from the airport until about 1:30 a.m. weekdays and early evening on weekends, with stops 3-5 blocks from the B&B. Use 8th Avenue to access the 700 block of “N” Street.

Anchorage International Airport: As you leave the terminal, you are heading east on International Airport Road. Proceed 2.5 miles to the Minnesota Drive North loop/exit. Go north on Minnesota Drive for two miles (as you enter the downtown area, Minnesota becomes “I” Street and cross streets are numbered, beginning with 15th Avenue). Continue on “I” Street to 8th Avenue, and turn left. Go four blocks to “N” Street, and turn right. (“N” looks like a parking lot or alley, but it really is a street.) Susitna Place is the second building on the left. There are four covered parking spaces.
Glenn Highway (Hwy. 1): As you enter Anchorage, the highway turns into 5th Avenue. Proceed through the downtown area to “L” Street, and turn left. Go three blocks to 8th Avenue, and turn right. Go two blocks to “N” Street, and turn right. (“N” looks a parking lot or alley, but it really is a street.) Susitna Place is the second building on the left; there are four covered parking spaces.
Seward Highway (Hwy. 9): As you enter the downtown area, the street name changes to Ingra. Proceed to 9th Avenue, and turn left. Follow 9th Avenue to “M” Street (just past the Clarion Suites), and turn right. Go one block to 8th Avenue, and turn left. Go one block to “N” Street, and turn right. (“N” looks like a parking lot or alley, but it really is a street.) Susitna Place is the second building on the left; there are four covered parking spaces.
Don’t trust your GPS or try to use 5th Avenue to access
Susitna Place. The B&B is on a cul-de-sac, atop a bluff overlooking
Cook Inlet, and is accessible ONLY via 8th Avenue.
